EPISODE DESCRIPTION
When should duct cleaning be performed and how could the work be validated. Duct cleaning may be warranted in any of the following situations: There is substantial evidence of visible mold growth within the surface of ductwork or on other components of the heating and cooling system. Have lab work done on the sample before making the decision. If you have insulated air ducts and the insulation gets wet or moldy, it cannot be cleaned effectively, it must be removed and replaced. The ducts are infested with vermin, e.g. Eg (rodents or insects).Ducts are clogged with excessive amounts of dust or debris. We have best article about vent cleaning equipment our website. According to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), duct cleaning has never been shown to actually prevent health problems. Also, studies do not conclusively show that particulate levels in homes are increased by dirty air ducts. This is because a lot of the dirt in air ducts sticks to the duct surfaces and doesn't necessarily get into the living space. It's important to note that dirty air ducts are just one of many possible sources of particulate matter that are present in homes. Contaminants brought into the home both from outside and from indoor activities such as cooking, cleaning, smoking, or just moving around can cause greater exposure to pollutants than dirty air ducts. Also, there is no evidence that a small amount of house dust or other particulate matter in your air ducts poses any risk to your health. In 1989, members of the duct cleaning industry formed the National Air Duct Cleaners Association (NADCA) . This organization adopted a standard in 1992 titled: NADCA Standard 1992-01, Mechanical Cleaning of Nonporous Air Conveying System Components. This standard provides performance requirements and evaluation criteria for the mechanical cleaning of nonporous ductwork, fans, coils, and other nonporous components of commercial and residential air handling systems. Duct cleaning methods: Duct cleaning methods vary, although industry associations dealing with air duct cleaning have established standards. Typically, a service provider will use specialized tools to dislodge dirt and other debris in the ductwork and then vacuum it out with a high-powered vacuum. Common duct cleaning methods include:Contact suction.Air sweep.Mechanical brushing.Check our website for more information - https://proaireq.com/
