“Many are called, but few are chosen.” This scripture best describes Overseer Yvonne M. Harrison, a unique gift to the Body of Christ, with a unique background. Overseer Harrison, unlike most preachers, hails from a career as a Professional Track & Field Athlete. Affectionately known on the track circuit as "Preacher on the Run,” A Preacher with a Powerful, Prolific, and Potent Praise, which causes one to be "infected" and "affected.” Described by many as authentic and contagious with her explicable and experiential undying love for Jesus. Her career around the oval office lasted 13 years, and now she has transitioned into running around sanctuaries with an audacious praise that liberates those who she comes in contact with. Overseer Harrison is a dynamic, passionate, fiery preacher, teacher, and pastor who loves from the depths of her heart. It is her desire to be found faithful in the assignment that God has given her. Overseer Harrison is a native of the Bronx, New York. In 2000, she was licensed into the Gospel Ministry and ordained in 2001. She received her Bachelors Degree in Sociology from the University of Illinois, Champaign, IL, with a Minor in Criminology. She then went on to pursue her Master of Divinity, with a concentration in Pastoral Care, from the Houston Graduate School of Theology, Houston, Texas. She recently received her Master of Divinity August 2011, from St. Johns University, Queens, New York. After the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens Greece, Overseer felt the call to surrender from her former career where she traveled to 32 countries running professionally and also sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ as the founder of Called to Compete Ministries (CTC) a ministry for Christian Athletes. She began to embark upon her spiritual journey and destiny, which included Pastoring. She is the founder of Teachable Moments, Inc. designed to provide ministerial and ecclesiastical mentoring for men and Women Leaders, Ministers, Pastors and Clergy. She is the founder of Women Can Preach Too, Inc. a ministerial alliance that encourages, empowers and equips women preachers to fulfill their gifts within the five-fold ministry. Lastly, in 2009, Overseer became the Pastor and Founder of Restoration Temple Ministries, Inc. located in New York, NY. She has been called to serve all humanity, displaying the radical inclusive love of God through His Son Jesus Christ. Founding Scripture: Psalm 71:20 RTM is a Ministry with a vision of meeting the spiritual, physical, mental and emotional needs of ALL individuals through the proclamation and application of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
