Juice Radio UK was born in April of 1994, under the name of Juice 94FM. It was a weekend only unlicensed radio station broadcasting from 4pm on a Friday afternoon until 1 am on a Monday morning.
Even though it was an unlicensed radio station it was run as a legitimate radio station, with play-listed shows and a full time program. The station went from strength to strength, and became the biggest unlicensed station of the 90′s; so much so that every Friday when it switched on its transmitter the station took a significant number of listeners from other legitimate radio stations, especially Capital 95.8FM & Kiss 100FM.
The founders of the original Juice FM were Dean Alexanda, Scottie Anderson and Martin Cee, who was also the Station manager. Between them they ran the station successfully until November 1997.
Juice 94FM shut down in November 1997 to apply for a South London licence that was put up for tender. To help juice FM in its Quest, the station broadcast live from 10pm till 7am, 7 days a week on the Spanish national radio station Onda Sero, live from London via ISDN link, which was revolutionary at the time. Unfortunately Juice FM weren’t awarded the broadcasting licence so were forced to close.

Many of the Original Presenters can be found on other radio stations and are named club DJ’s in their own right.less
