The Symantec Sales Training Contest was based on the concept that its easier to learn by modeling best practices and required a more effective communication tool than other traditional corporate training solutions.  Podomatic provided all of the back-end technology and infrastructure that enabled Symantec's global sales force to easily share individually-created videos with other team members around the world.  Participants simply accessed the Symantec-branded contest site, hosted by Podomatic, through their corporate network and uploaded their videos through an easy-to-use online wizard.  The podcast was then immediately encoded properly and posted for viewing online.  Employees were also able to rate each video and leave online text comments, as well as voting for their favorites.  Podomatic had the Symantec podcasting initiative up and running in less than two weeks.
