Our original location, at the New York Water Taxi Hunters Point Ferry stop, offers the best views of the Manhattan skyline this side of “The Donald's” chopper. This 44,000 square foot beach with 900 tons of sand provides a family atmosphere by day, and after dark becomes a playground for the 21+ crowd with live music, DJs, as well as cultural and electronic music events.

Building upon the popularity of Water Taxi Beach in Long Island City, Water Taxi Beach/South Street Seaport has made its debut this summer on the north side of Pier 17. Featuring spectacular views of the Brooklyn Bridge, the 18,000 square foot Water Taxi Beach, South Street Seaport caters to families with its signature sandy beach, 9-hole miniature golf course, ping-pong tables and skeeball.

Water Taxi Beach, Governors Island offers spectacular views of the Brooklyn and Manhattan skylines and the East River Bridges, with a laid back, beach on the waterfront, experience of sun, fun, food and music; with tons of sand, beach volleyball, basketball courts, cafe and outdoor grill and a stage for live performances.

Now open Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Water Taxi Beach, Governors Island will be accessible from Lower Manhattan on the Governors Island Ferry departing from the Battery Maritime Building and by New York Water Taxi from Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens.
