German Angel is the first Hispanic Television host to win the Long Beach "LB. Award" twice, during the 20th and 21st Annual Awards for Excellence in producing multi-cultural community oriented television programs.

German has achieved local recognition for his ability to represent real life subjects with frankness while sympathizing with his guest and allowing them to reveal their dilemmas.
