Since my first exposure to house it's always been about house. It's been over two decades sinced I've been hooked, and it's still the best sound out there. From 98.7 kiss and WBLS to now, what a ride. I'd like to to give credit to Merlin Bobb, Timmy Regisford, and Tony Humphries for keeping me up with the tapedeck on record. They made me realize that after Red Alert and Mr. Magic / Marley Marl, the weekend party was only just beginning. Then came the good times ( too many to mention ) listenen' to my boys Grandmixer VLD and Boogie Night! After that it was time to start buying some records. Also a very big bigup to my friend DJ RAS for puttin me on to the Brooklyn, NY underground scene. I've had the pleasure of spinning with him a few times and it's always a celebration! I have no preference of genres, I just like to mix it up. Deep, tech, soul, funky, housey (lol) it's all the same to me. I just try to keep the groove going.
I love this music, and I love what it stands for, FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION!! You can hear me every Thursday from 7p-9p est. live on www.facethebasslive.com. Check out not just me, but a large group of very talented dj's playing the best that deep house music has to offer. Always a good live set playing there !
