after collecting records and being a music lover for years, i started dj'ing in 2005 to spread some funk and soul throughout the universe. expect soul, funk, breaks, old school hiphop, reggae, latin, jazz, electro and much more in my dj sets. i like to play everything from alton ellis to zz hill. i like to dj with actual records, no serato, tracktor or other computer based programs. that‘s why i spend most of my money on dusty 45‘s from the 1960‘s and 1970‘s.
i had the pleasure of sharing the decks with malachi trout (skyline recordings), tobias kirmayer (tramp records), luke vibert (warp), chris read (music of substance) and many others so far.
after playing at luxembourg's best bars including the elevator and the dqliq bar, being resident dj at the autrepart bar, playing in strasbourg (france), london (uk), barcelona (spain), vilanova (spain), brussels (belgium), osnabrück (germany), cologne (germany), tübingen (germany), i'm always looking for new places to present my dj sets.
this is tomorrow is a project i started a few years ago when i bought my akai 2000xl.
after playing drums in various bands i wanted to try something different, so i started using my record collection in search of samples and inspiration.
everything is sampled, programmed and sequenced on the mpc, no computer programs such as reason, live or whatever.
i have been writing my own music blog called www.thisistomorrow.blogspot.com for some time now.
the blog features 7’s/12’s from my collection and guest mixes by dj kobal (afrokats), smoove (wack records), larry grogan (funky 16 corners), dj prestige (fleamarket funk), vincent the soul chef (fufu stew) and many more.
check out my page on myspace for further info, mixes, pictures, dates.
