I am new to podcasting but I have presented jazz shows foe quite a few years. The podoMatic site is the most friendly of sites, I have six people requesting to be friends but before I accepted any more I think I must lay my cards on the table. I do not warm to garage, house, remixes, bass loops or drum programmes. I am not saying that any of these are bad or worthless because that is not true. Any form of music is good, when played well it a wondrous thing. It just does not push the buttons for me. I like my music played by real musicians, who are able to respond to a new thoughts or inspiration coming from another musician or singer performing with them. I love jazz but I do have favourites in other genre of music. When a jazz musician is playing an improvised solo he is bareing part of his soul. It is a great privilege and very touching to be allowed that close to someone's inner feelings. These thoughts are the same whether the music is fast, slow, sad, happy, swinging, dancing, exciting, r & b, blues, classical, funk or good old fashion rock and roll. So my would be friends I have bared my soul and if you would still like to be friends I would welcome the opportunity. Music is an international language and therefore and aid to friendship.
