The thought behind the Afters Cool Society is that of a person who is not concerned with being the best, nor being the most popular. the goal is to release creativity in various media platforms. Whether it be music, video, painting, sketching, photography, etc., the thought of conformity no longer exists. The purpose is to push the boundaries of what is known into another realm (and have fun doing so).

Chris Hales has been doing so for all of his life. From an early age his fascination with art and music was clear. Teachers started to pay extra attention to his abilities as an artist and musician. Pushing that he become more involved, Christian was selected to attend The Classical Magnet program in which he would go on to excel in Rhetoric, Philosophy, and Latin, but allowed to focus on his love of the arts and music.

Upon leaving Hartford, CT for Chicago, Chris quickly became one with the then emerging arts scene, though known primarily for his DJing. While in school Christian became fascinated with graphic design and continued to pursue a career as a designer eventually leading to several jobs at graphic design companies throughout Chicago while still only a junior in college. Following years would see him taking off as a music producer as well as DJ eventually landing him gigs overseas in Florence, Italy, Amsterdam, and Tokyo.

Currently Chris is a member of the highly praised Chicago Art Department teaching DJ classes as well as being a resident DJ and artist there. Continuing his love for art and music Chris has gone on to create several musical releases accompanied by original artwork.

All while just having fun.
