Welcome to the official podcast of the American Tailgaters Association (atatailgate.com). Based in San Antonio, Texas, the ATA is the national organization for tailgaters throughout North America. According to a recent study by Synovate Inc., a Chicago-based research firm, 36 million Americans participated in a tailgate party in the last 12 months and almost 51 million said they planned to attend a tailgate during this football season.

Our Background

Our membership is website driven and is complimented by live event tour stops at NFL, NCAA, MLB, AFL, NASCAR and other designated venues around the country to promote the organization, as well as the corporate entities with whom we partner. Our goal is to spotlight our corporate partners and ATA membership while promoting the tailgating lifestyle. We believe by offering entertaining, interactive, cost-effective and ever-expanding promotional experiences, our association will foster organizational allegiance, brand loyalty and name recognition for our corporate partners and ourselves.

We have appeared on numerous television networks generating outstanding exposure this past year including ESPN, Fox, CBS and NBC. In addition, we were prominently featured on Al Roker's Tricked Out Tailgating 2-hour special on the Food Network last Fall. We have also been featured in Sports Illustrated, Wall Street Journal, Associated Press, Cargo, Southwest Airlines Spirit, Smart Money, Travel Savvy and Potentials Magazine as well as many regional and local media outlets.

We are currently developing a weekly television series that will document campus traditions and the student and alumni tailgating perspective at universities across America.
