CVD was a professionally instructed drummer for about 10yrs before switching to the turntables about '97. Since then he has had residencies all over southern california & mexico. Not to mention a regular fixture in the early 00's rave scene, opening for the biggest players in the game in any genre of electronic music, you call it. He has gone on to capture a top 10 finish in a national mix competition and backed a prominent Los Angeles hip hop crew. All driven by the love of music and selecting sounds for any occasion. CVD has recently been focusing on writing and producing music with Down&Dirty, a revolving collective of musicians and recently Remixed a track for The Crystal Method. CVD was also a graduate of the SCRATCH DJ ACADEMY Los Angeles, in the first classes when the west coast institution opened in turntablism, advanced beat juggling and scratching.
