Last year was a busy year for Steve. After starting his own night, cheap|biscuit, in May gigs came frequently. An unexpected competition win in June, as Jonny Miller from Manchester Midi School entered an old mix CD without him knowing, saw him DJ at the O2 wireless festival in Leeds. He warmed up for the band, Unclejam, amongst others in the O2 Blueroom tent. This also led to him being offered a gig to DJ at the Knowsley Hall Music Festival in Liverpool. Sadly he was unable to fulfill this date as he was out of the country.

As people started to take note of his versatile music tastes & attention to detail in the promotion of his own club night, more gigs & collaborations came his way. The first in the form of a residency at live music night, Stereotype. This has seen him supporting bands such as Pint Shot Riot, Sol Devious, No Remote, Broken Dolls & Sympathy State to name a few. A collaboration with Darran Pownall, another DJ with a penchant for soulful music, has seen them start a couple of nights, Mutations & Discoloco in Rugby & Leicester, focussing on Disco, Latin, Dub, & Afrobeat.

More recently Steve has been working with Leicester club night, Shivoo & has now joined them as a resident DJ/Promoter. 2008 looks set to see some production work with Darran Pownall & a studio band project, Kaleidafoxx with Dan Faulkner & Chris Hamblett. As well as this Steve is also working on a podcast radio show under the cheap|biscuit moniker which is set to be a very tongue in cheek affair!

Future DJ gigs include dates in Liverpool, Leamington Spa, Coventry, Manchester & Loughborough as well as a possible set in Lisbon, Portugal. Keep tabs on the myspace page for up to date information.
