"Stary Reggau" is a kind of word game, in Polish language mean "ancient bookstand" (where also records can be stored) but second meaning is "jamaican music from the past" - that's what I'm really interested in. "Stary Reggau" was also my radio program which I had from early spring 2000 till summer 2003, each saturday morning/noon in RADIOSTACJA.
Please, be welcome to browse some mixes I'll place here sooner or later. But beware if you desperately looking for things packed with tones of "big tunes" or "killers". I'm not that kind of selector - to be honest, I hate obvious "big tunes", which are not more than some 4% of jamaican music. Ofcourse, about half of it is hard to stand, but remaining 46% is what I'm digging in. Some call it "big people music" some may say "it's boring" however, I love what I play. All my mixes are spontaneous effects, reflecting my current mood and was builded from records I had around, at that very specific moment. Strictly no extremely rare / highly priced ebay gems, no rapid juggling (mostly whole 12" extended versions) and no sound effects - pure, beautifull music!
Hope you understand what I mean...enjoy then ;)
P.S.
If you are lookin for some reggae records, please visit my web store:
www.reggae.sklep.pl (it's in Polish but easy to browse anyway)
