Shane D is a Durban, South African based House Music DJ, Producer & Remixer, and has been elevating clubber's night time journeys since 1993. Keeping a solid faith and constant belief that "House Music is the be all and end all of dance music" has made him a hot favorite with South African house heads.

His sound is a fresh mix of Funk, followed by a dash of Soul, with a hint of sex appeal, added together with grooves that will literally blow your knickers off.

On the production side, he signed a single in 2008 that was tagged by many industry pro's as one of House music’s best tunes of that year, entitled “La Musica”. The track quickly caught the attention of Swiss label 2Delicious Recordings, and was signed almost immediately upon hearing it. “La Musica” also received massive props and support from Grant Nelson of the world famous Swing City Records in London. Closer to home, he won prestigious 1st place in the BPM Mag/Soul Candi Remix Competition held in 2009 for his remixed work of the Ananda Project’s “Let Love Fly”, beating out hundreds of other producers. Live keyboard performances by him on all his productions, as well as occasionally using live session musicians for his projects, is the key factor in setting his music apart from the mass of other producers performing this genre nowadays.

Shane has so far had releases on world class labels like Soulfuric (US), Soulheat Records (Belgium), Boogs Music (UK), 2Delicious Recordings (Switzerland), amongst others, and has also remixed tracks for artists such as John “Julius” Knight, Roland Clark, Luis Radio & Raffa, Jaxx N Lowe, The Rawsoul Ochestra, The Ananda Project, Olga Wozniak aka Lady Ola, The Doobie Brothers, JedSet and numerous others including a chance to remix Ian Carey and Michelle Sheller's classic house anthem "Keep On Rising", as well as South African based band "Rise", headed up by Martin McHale, for the track "Summer's Gone".

There are many new productions on the horizon for big, quality labels like Look At You Records as well as Soulmagic Recordings to name a few.

DJ wise, Shane has, on two occasions, played alongside legendary UK House Music Producer & DJ, Grant Nelson, and has shared the booth on numerous occasions at most of the renowned venues around South Africa with top jocks, Roger Goode, Mimi Kesaris, Brett Jackson, Martin McHale, Sam Boylan, Marc Trollip and most other S.A DJ heavyweights.
