Dj Sequoia, originally from Northern California, lives in Washington, DC and has spun a diverse range of electronic music including House/Electro, Tech House, Techno/Minimal, and Dubstep (a recent addition) for 15 years. He is currently involved with the East Coast Burning Man scene, a regular dj at Playa Del Fuego (PDF) and local DC Burner events, and the stage manager for the PDF stage. In California, he was a founding member of Humboldt, California’s longest running dj collective, the Deep Groove Society and the now disbanded Humboldt Rave Collective. During the Humboldt days Sequoia promoted and performed at epic Full Moon parties on the beaches and in the mountains of Northern California. The Deep Groove Society is still alive and strong today and Dj Sequoia, as a founding dj, is and “adjunct” member. Recently, Dj Sequoia became a member of the nation-wide dj and producer collective, The Midnight Sons (www.themidnightsons.com), leaving behind his nomadic life as an unaffiliated “rogue” dj.
