Sal Negro, one of the most celebrated, fun loving, and joyous DJs of his time was born Orlando Herrera, Jr. in Santa Clara, Cuba circa 1961. He was been DJing since 1976 and has kept his sound as eclecltic as the music he spins. Raised in the Bronx he has managed to take music to another by being a musician first and DJ second.

He has started production companies like T.A.C.E. Entertainment, 5840 Productions and 5840 Records. With his passion for music and the fun he has with it, it is no wonder he is has become Cuba's most celebrated DJ. He has had the opportunity to open for some of the world's top DJ's in the pro and underground scene. Traveling around the world like, London, Japan, Morocco, Brazil, Puerto Rico, Amsterdam, Germany, Australia and soon to Liverpool. A regular at WMC, the DJ Expo, Coney Island and the Lincoln Park Music Festival.
