PETE COSBY //S.O.L.U. & Metropolis Party//

First introduced to electronic music at the early age of 15 at the legendary club Arzenal near his home city of Kosice in Slovakia. There he had a chance to listen to some of the world’s finest Djs Including Christian Smith, Louie Vega, Trava, Michael Burian, Takaaki Itoh, Oscar Mulero. After studies he decided to move to London. Shortly after arriving Pete bought himself his first cdj’s and started experimenting in sound teaching himself through adventure. Soon after that Pete became resident Dj of The Liquid Bar, London, and established his own clubnight, Metropolis party. To date, fourteen Metropolis parties have been enjoyed at various London venues. The clubnight has been running for more than 2 years now with more than 40 Dj's such as Svetlux, Systemattik, Deepnlow, Jozef Mihalik, Mirezz, Michal MisTech and many more from 10 different countries having played there, it's been a massive success. These Dj's have entertained hundreds of people playing a vast array of electronic music, that we love so much.

His residency and his passion for music has brought him to the attention of promoters, in hand allowing him to play live set for brands such as Twilo, Promised, We love Pacha, Replay, RepublicArtists, DirtyDubbin and Echo. He has played at various venues across London, Pacha London, Ministry of Sound, Lightbox, Area, Bar&Co, Lane bar, Inigo, Santos, Bar 3ONE7 and boat parties on Golden Jubilee just to name few. At the beginning of 2010, Pete has started podcast on podomatic.com website. It is called The Sound of London Underground and it is a podcast totally dedicated to house music and its different varieties. It captures the magic of the London scene and features mixes from resident Dj's of Metropolis party and Special guest Dj's. So far there are published 55 episodes from Dj’s and producer's from around the world such as Jozef Mihalik, Cole Jonson, Darren Gregory, Zenzero, Wayne Calita, Dave Boyle, LazyBoys, Toben, Felipe Kastegliano, just to name few. Currenly he is cooperating with UNT! Records and 2MR2 Records on series of Metropolis Boat Parties on the river Thames with first two parties featuring legendary prague dj Trava and slovak pioneer of house music Martin Haberland.
