Tom_s is resident selector at Roots Before Branches and Can You Dig It? nights in Manchester along with 'Chris Roots'.
Roots Before Branches commenced in May 2004 in the basement of the legendary Dry Bar..the ethos - a respect for roots'retro' sounds of funk, soul, jazz, disco, latin, afro and fresh new 'branches' of music.
Guest DJs included Mark de Clive-Lowe, Greg Wilson, Idjut Boys, Zero 7's Sam Hardaker, Mad Mats, DJ Lubi and Diesler and live Acts including 6ix Toys amongst many others have rocked RBB parties.
The night has continued at numerous venues including The Attic & The Roadhouse.
Root Before Branches is currently focusing on an 'All Vinyl' session CAN YOU DIG IT? at cosy joint, The Nook bar in Chorlton which commenced in February 2010.
Can You Dig It? is the Last Saturday of every month and with excellent guests James Holroyd, Matthew Hallsall, Purpose B, Irfan Rainy and Ole Smokey having joined the party.
