Summary of The Peace Revolution Podcast, as described by listeners:

"Have you heard it yet? peacerevolution.org / Posted by Professor, February 3, 2010 /

So I am listening to one of my favorite podcasts. It's Gnostic Media if you hear of it.
If not you should take a listen to it. But you have to listen to the peacerevolotion.org show it should just blow you mind wide open.
www.peacerevolution.podomatic.com Everyone take one down and pass it around…"

"I concur! / SilvanusLives — Feb 06, 2010 /

I just mentioned Gnostic Media's podcast over in the comments section on an article on Reality Sandwich.
And yes, the Peace Revolution podcasts that he uploaded recently were outstanding. I am quite intrigued by the Trivium and discovering these ancient ways of education as I often feel that even though I went through college and graduated with honors, I really really don't know very much.
So please, follow the Professor's advice and check this podcast out!"

"I have found a new podcast that I am really enjoying called The Peace Revolution, which is a publication of Tragedy and Hope dot com, an online magazine that I find equally as interesting. Their stated mission is:

"We can all agree that there are major problems in our world. These problems exist and persist because we are ignorant to the root cause which empowers them; this ignorance or sense of pseudo-knowing blocks our understanding. Therefore, it would seem logical that by expanding our awareness in order to understand the problems, that therein we would discover the solutions. Having identified a myriad of solutions to the major problems that plague our society, it seemed logical next to create a vehicle through which to share the wisdom accumulated from the process of expanding our awareness."

It is a new podcast which has only published two episodes so far, and I have really enjoyed them. Their goals are inline with many of mine as far as expanding awareness goes. The first two podcasts were focused on determining what is missing from public education, leading us to the false knowledge that is causing many of the worlds problems today, and how we can learn how to learn through correct critical thinking skills. In episode one, they discuss how and why critical thinking skills have purposely not been taught in public schools for centuries. In episode two they outline a path for all of us to regain these skills so we can be empowered to begin fixing our society and our world.

A side note: As a student of futurism and technology, I have read and heard many suggestions over the years that the human race lacks the focus and or intellect to actually solve many of the problems facing our world today. Indeed, it is not hard to see the evidence of this. Futurists claim we will need powerful supercomputers with artificial intelligence to help us find a way forward. I happen to agree when I look at our current problem solving skills. Our governmental/societal systems are simply full of self-serving and corrupt people/organizations who are too busy trying to reach their own goals to help the human race as a whole reach critical goals.

Many of us see the problems, and we have great solutions for these problems, yet getting an organized effort together for a real resolution to be put in place is nearly impossible due to the various human and systemic walls you run into along the way. One need look no further than the US Congress which is completely unable to solve any major problem facing our country. The same issues are tossed around year after year, decade after decade. Some of these issues are health care, the economy, social security, and how to fix our neglected, crumbling national infrastructure (buildings, bridges, railways, roads, schools, airports, etc.).

If we cannot come together and solve these issues, how can we ever hope to accomplish even bigger goals such as ending world starvation and poverty, ending war, cleaning up the environment, etc? The human race must find solutions to these issues, but first we must fix the foundation of our thinking process."
