CHIP CHOP is a name becoming widely known throughtout the music world abroad. His talents are second to none and his impact on dancefloors are undisputed by industry peoples and dance music fans alike. His genuine soul, vigorous persistence, and deep passion for music has helped Chip Chop build quite a name for himself within the music industry. Chip Chop has had much success with his innovative remixes of songs, representing some of the industry's most successful artists. Ciara, Kelis, Destiny’s Child, Tina Turner, Inaya Day, Willi Ninja, and Harmonica Sunbeam are just a sampling of the artists remixed by this talented producer. Chip Chop started in the early 90’s as an editor/DJ. His first records were white label mixes of Phil Collins “In the Air Tonight”, Depeche Mode – “Little 15” and “It Doesn’t Matter” and “Do It Properly” (yes the original!). Chip Chop’s first hit record was “Al-Nafiysh 2000”. It went top 10 on the Billboard dance charts. Chip Chop got his big break debuting a 2 hour mega mix on NYC’s 103.5 FM WKTU in 1996. The show was an instant hit and the Chip Chop madness began! Chip Chop has the uncanny ability to play for any crowd that wants to party. His ability to give the crowd what they need when they need it makes him highly marketable and keeps him in great demand! “I always dance to the beat of my own drum. I do not do what others are doing, because it has already been done!” Living by that philosophy has taken Chip Chop to Germany, Iceland, Japan and Canada where he has packed clubs and stadiums over and over. Chip Chop has also played in over 20 states in USA. Chip Chop supports and plays for AIDS Walk NYC, GMHC, Cancer Research and Toys for Tots. His most recent performances have been at Sirius Satellite Radio, Studio/Crobar, Mars 2112, LOVE, Splash, Asseteria, Pacha, Aer, Webster Hall, Deep, Avalon, Warehouse, Quo, Hiro, APT, Hammerstein Ballroom, and Virgin Music Mega Store. Chip Chop has played venues with with DJ’s such as Tiesto, Paul Van Dyck, Erick Morillo, Victor Calderone, Danny Tenaglia, Lil Louie Vega, Junior Vasquez, David Morales, Deep Dish, Carl Cox, Satoshie Tomie, Roger Sanchez and Tony Moran just to name a few. Chip Chop’s recent tribute to The Legendary Willi Ninja featuring is receiving rave revues and is about to be signed and licensed overseas. Vocals are by Willi Ninja and Benny Ninja (America’s Next Top Model). Chip Chop has also been a resident DJ of Sirius Satellite Radio (Global) for over 7 years now. He does mixes for both The Beat-Sirius 36 and Area 33. He can be heard all throughout the week playing the best of Progressive, Tribal, Vocals, Tech and Trance for all the world to hear! Chip Chop has been written about in The Daily News, NY Times, NY Post, Billboard, HX, Next, Go, Village Voice, Time Out, and Giant Magazine. Chip Chop is one to continue to watch and watch we will.
