I'm totally passionate about culture. That short phrase defines me, yet seems like a severe understatement...
I'm a polyglott and adore interacting with people from across the globe, learning, sharing, discovering, etc. with them. That's what life is all about!
I'm a poet and photographer, as well as a musician.

This podcasting thing is totally new to me, but my passion for music is pushing me to learn how to navigate podcasting. A rather steep learning curve, but ultimately, I figured it out.

I love SO many kinds/styles of music from across the world. My top favorite is Cuban "Son". along with other forms of music from what is generally described as the African diaspora, ranging from R&B & jazz to samba & salsa.

I speak a number of languages... It thrills me to speak to folks in their native language. It's hugely important to me; an important part of what makes me tick. The way people "inhabit" language and use words says so much about who/how they are... It's so fascinating!
*culture and the arts...
I love most forms of cultural and artistic expression, such as folk and outsider art, German Expressionism, Fauvism and the 'Nabis', sculpture and "new" arts, such as performance art and mixed media.
*dance...
I must confess that I'm a lifelong dance addict. I love to watch others dance and love to dance, too. I've always had a passionate love for folk/traditional dancing and its offshoots, such as tap and capoeira, Hindu temple dancing, bellydancing, etc. Have a lifelong fascination with ballet and recently have become a HUGE fan of contemporary, modern dance.
