When I started DJing I wanted to play hip-hop. Everyone told me to start with house. After a few years of learning I played everything near house. Initially helping out with a 2step weekly years ago, I learned about rnb. Then moving on to broken beat with the Get Broke crew I represented the roots of dubstep. From this crew I learned about techno, jazz, disco, and the true Austin style of long mixes. About the same time I've learned how to produce on a detroit techno project called GNU-Jazz. Through these crews I was allowed to play downtempo. A few years later though it was not enough to stay deep in the roots of this music, it was time to learn about the Club. After making an experimental move to Denton, Texas I put my experience into providing the best mix of Indie Rock, True Disco, House Music, and the current sounds blending those genres as a member of The Flashlight Party. Now I have returned to Austin.
