MadSounds was born and raised in Georgetown,Guyana (Jim Jones Town for those who don't know). Then migrated to the US in 87 and this is where he got his first start in DJ-ing. Lived in Jersey City, NJ for over 18yrs which is across the Hudson river from Manhattan. This give him better opportunity which keep him up to date with the latest music by getting the latest vinyls from stores in New York City. Stores like Rock n Soul, Vinylmania, and several other stores around NYC and not forgetting the boys in West NY at "Your Beat Records". He started out mixing freestyle music, then house and with his background being West Indian reggae came to him with ease. From free parties, to paid one, to mix tapes to finally catching his break at Foxes Night Club. He became the friday nite resident for over 2 yrs spinning house, reggae, old school etc. During that time at Foxes he could also be seen spinning regularly on Saturdays at Drama nite club(Fairview, NJ), Sand Bar(Jersey City, NJ) and Rennainsance(Hoboken, NJ), Wednesday nite at Alberts(Jersey City,NJ) and Thursdays at Supper Club(Hoboken, NJ). He did many other guest spots at Remy nite club(NYC), Paradox(Fairview, NJ), and Metropolis(Queens, NY). MadSounds Spin House and Reggae, house music is a passion but Reggae was from his background being West Indian.
