An established and firm favourite of Sydney’s club & party scene for over ten years, Luke Leal is one of its most popular and versatile DJs. Renowned for his unashamedly uplifting, energetic & crunchy vocal house style, Luke has 14 headlining performances at Sydney's world famous MARDI GRAS & SLEAZE BALL* parties under his belt as well as countless main room performances at the biggest & best parties in the country including HOMESEXUAL, TOYBOX, RAW HIDE, ICE, BEYOND, QUEER NATION & FRISKY.

(*most recently performing at Sydney Mardi Gras' Sleaze Ball 2008 event "VILLAIN'S LAIR" @ Fox Studios & and to a rapturous reception on the Terrace @ HOMESEXUAL on NYD09)

Luke currently holds down residences at popular Sydney club nights & venues PHOENIX RISING, SLIDE, THE COLOMBIAN & most predominantly as main room resident at Australia’s only gay superclub; ARQ. Luke is most famous as the driving force behind ARQ’s popular Sunday club night SUNDAY SCHOOL; having forged & defined the musical sound, style & evolution of the night since the club originally opened in 1999.

Luke regularly spins at events across the country and around the globe, having headlined gigs in Kuala Lumpur, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Singapore, Auckland, Seattle, San Diego and legendary clubs such as 'Heaven' in London and 'Pacha' in Ibiza.

Luke has headlined with major local & international DJ's TV Rock, The Freemasons, Chris Cox, Junior Vasquez, Ferry Corsten, Fragma, Rob Kay, Paul Heron, Luke Johnstone, Victor Calderone, The Space Brothers, Barry Harris, Tom Stephan, Wayne G, DJ 4Strings, Matt Darey, Brett Henrichson, Pants & Corset, Gonzalo, Sacha Collisson (Aurora), Pete Wardman, Neil Lewis, Frankie Knuckles as well as major acts & performers such as Dannii Minogue, Jan Johnston, The Rogue Traders, Katie Underwood, Kristine W, Emily Williams, Simone Denny, Melissa Tkautz, Paulini, Ricki-Lee, Cosima and Terra Deva.

Luke has produced studio remixes for Cosima De Vito, Michal Nicolas, Erika Heynatz and achieved ARIA club & national chart success with 'Glamorous Life' & 'All I Want' for Melissa Tkautz as well as a top ten position with 'Pray' for Tina Cousins. His own first production 'Set Me Free' featuring the vocal talents of soul legend Doug Williams received support & spins from local jocks & great reaction from crowds. His remix of 'We All Need Somebody' by The Peachy Project feat Erika Heynatz can be found exclusively on the STONEWALL: THE ADDICTION, a 2xdisc CD compiled & mixed by Luke Leal which was released in early 2006. Luke has been involved with many dance related shows on various community radio stations in Sydney including Free FM, Out FM and most famously with his own show from Beat FM 'Lost In Trancelation'; which he will re-launch from this podcast in the near future!
