After an employment transition from Policeman to DJ, Lewi Five 0 already makes for an interesting personality. Conventional, safe & in some ways predictable are the emblematic characteristics found in personalities such as this, yet is that what drove him to succeed in becoming a DJ & person that defies all of these things?
He is calm, focused & level headed, but he possesses an incredibly intense energetic style behind the decks, pushing through tunes in the house & techno genres, he describes it as “Music you can’t sit down to”. Clearly keen to keep the partyers on their toes & arms in the air, you can feel the flare & individual ambience that he brings to his fast-paced sets.

Five 0’s absence of musical restrictions & inhibitions shine through his enthused & stimulated attitude towards equipment, rationing is not a strong point, dabbling in all from Traktor to 3 or 4 CDJ's, EFX to Samplers, his technical skills go deep. Lewi makes it very clear that for him it is important to stay ahead of the game. Having recently switched to digital, it has opened up a new world of opportunity, driving him further technically & making tricks during a set possible, resulting in making him an incredibly interesting DJ to watch & hear.

Not seeing genre as a boundary, Lewi’s single aim is to provide good quality house music, this includes Vocal, Progressive & Tech house but also Techno, Minimal & Trance. Although he plays a wide spectrum of genres you won’t be perplexed by haphazardly placed tracks “it is essential that a set flows well, so preparation is key”.
You will find this spin wizard playing for promotions like Toolroom knights & Lush Funk, at world class venues ranging from Ministry of Sound in London to Amnesia in Ibiza. Influenced by the likes of Eric Morrillo, & having played alongside DJ’s like Seb Ingrosso & Seb Leger, it is clear as to what division this man fits into musically.

Reluctant to get too comfortable & stagnate, Five 0 plays for events around London on a monthly & regular basis but does not hold a residency, ”I find that a lot of DJ's in & around London who are residents at certain promotions get known for that particular promotion. I like the feeling of being free to pick & choose who I play for & when.” This enables him to stay unfixed in his way of playing & ever changing his habits & surroundings.

With his rituals aside, Lewi knows what he likes musically & this has led him to create his own productions, progressing into this aspect of the industry with 11 years of musical knowledge behind him, & doing it solely because he sees certain tracks missing that he would want to play. This gives him the definitive fundamentals that shape & establish him as a serious DJ, resulting in him bringing to the decks a unique & particular sound that can only be achieved with deep experience.
