Hello Podomatic maniacs! I'm Laura OShea - Dj aka 'know:angel?!™' I'm 27 and hail from the smallest County in Scotland - The Wee COunty! My love of the Scottish clubs, people, festivals and the atmosphere on the dancefloor inspired me to get behind the decks and having spun the wheels for just over 6 years I reckon I'm pretty well equipped to keep the dance floor moving. I spent my late teens in and around the Scottish club scene; where a lot of dancing and partying has led me inevitably to the sound I love now. The Arches in Glasgow, my favorite club (only just piping the Terrace at Space to the post) has largely influenced my choice of tunes and beats to date. A quick flick through my record bag will reveal all that is good....in all forms of House and Techno music... in all of its glory!!! Officially I like to signify a line in funked-up, bumping, minimal, techy-house but I'd hate to rule anything out. I'm a keen believer that a little versatility goes a long way! Basically if it’s good enough to tell your body to move – it’s good enough for me! I've previously enjoyed a great 3 year residency at Innfusion, Sunderland. Other venues I've played include the legendary Ministry of Sound, London, Dr Wus, Leeds, Revolution, Apartment, North Bar, Kings Manor and many more across the North and beyond! I'm the currently Revolution Open Decks DJ Competition Winner, and ah-hem, the first WOMAN to win it, so c'mon the girls!! Now having recently moved to Qatar in the Middle East, I've set my sights on getting involved in helping promote a quality, underground sound here. My 'day job' background is in commercial writing and radio production. I've also pimped my voice for radio in the past too! :) All of this whilst diving into home music production. I like to combine my radio editing and production skills with an open minded music taste. My style's not conventional to most and steers toward what I'd fondly call “cosmic tech”. A strong believer in conceptualized music and sounds, you expect some quite different stuff from me under my production guise of ‘Cosmic G’. Check out the sample tracks on my myspace www.mysoace.com/lauraosheadj and feel free to comment on the ‘beatage’ so far…. Keep your ears peeled for more additions to my production work as I get my kit set up here in the Desert! Get in touch for Dj bookings or just to chat! Cheers, L :)x
