Short Biography: I began drumming when I was about 12-13, playing mostly Sepultura covers with my brother Dave, Tim T and various bassists (including, randomly, DJ Gibbo for a while) in a band that came to be known as Sickstitches, who are still going to this day with former Kablamo drummer James Backham wielding the sticks. As with all Kablamo members, I've always been embroiled in the Hailsham band scene, mostly with Sickstitches, but also Curd, Ventolin, Entaplacenta (technically Ringmer), The Gynas (Curd reform) and Start Over. Thanks to my time in these bands, I built up a nice little musical resumee, trying my hand at nu(?)-metal, straight up rock, punk-metal, garage rock and emo. It was in the confusion of summer 2005 that I came to join Kablamo: I was back in Hailsham for the summer after my first year at Uni in South Wales, Backham had left Kablamo and Start Over had fallen apart, relocated to Hailsham and changed their name to Speak Your Heart. Not wanting to hold back Speak Your Heart because of my Uni commitments and the fact I was living 200 miles away, I was temporarily bandless for probably the first time in 10 years. However, with the end of summer, and my return to Wales approaching, I became Kablamo's temporary drummer. And I can only guess that what I lack in convenience I make up for in drumming skills and good looks because I've been with the band ever since, and was presented with my official Kablamo hat at my debut gig at the Black Sheep in October (click here for pics of the ceremony). And here I am now, physically living in South Wales, but mentally rooted to Hailsham; living proof that however hard you try, it's a town you simply can't escape.
