Jim is NOT a morning person. He grew up in the Midwest (US), and in college he was an English major; he's a pretty good editor and proofreader, but not always with his own writing. He and his wife met in high school, but they didn't start dating until 13 years later. Jim is a slow reader, but he reads a lot. Jim is a Northern climate guy trying to survive in the Southern heat.
