DJ Jace (Denver) spins Funk and Soul of the 1960's and 70's. His style on the tables is reminiscent of the time period; plays the whole track, slow fades, and keeps within the genre in it's original glory. He harkens back to the time when audiences could focus on one genre for longer than 45 seconds, when they could enjoy a beat for more than 2 minutes.
Jace also experiments in other styles from time to time revisiting his long blends of drum and bass, scratching and looping of turntablism. He loves all styles of DJ'ing and he believes that all too often the spectrum of the DJ style has been narrowed to turntablism and mash-up DJ's. While he enjoys them on his own time, he constantly reminds himself where the art-form came from: A DJ with two turntables playing continuous music for an audience. It's as simple as that.
