Greg Cuoco has grew up with a number of family members involved in music. Greg's grandfather, Angelo Cuoco had played Vaudville and many other venues with his "sing & swing session" in New York City. Currently Greg's brother Sean is the lead singer for his band "Southern Exposure". Involved in college radio in the 80's, Greg was exposed to many different musical forms, but it was not until he moved back to downtown New York City that he got his experience with house music. Getting local DJ jobs in the Soho section of NYC, Greg quickly developed his DJ style into entertaining crowds in downtown clubs of all sizes. The 1990's saw Greg getting involved in the dance music industry with Vinyilla Records, Choice Records, Jungle Sounds Records as well as starting Monarch Management. With NYC nightlife lacking, a chance to do one room of an afterhours party "House Nation" was how Greg and Johnny Sender came to start Aqua-booty! The party developed into it's own weekly Thursday night at "The Bar Room" on 14th St. in the meatpacking district. The party was all about the music and with a diverse crowd that came to hear DJ's in 2 rooms. Numerous guest DJ's played the best music to be heard and the Residents, Tony Humphries, Danny Taneglia, Tedd Patterson & Greg Cuoco all created a vibe that pulled in people from all over the globe. Aqua-booty! expanded to London with Alan Russell and to Winter Music Conference events in Miami as well. Production started on Greg's first release "The Aqua-booty Theme" and in 1995, 5 mixes were relased on Victor Simonelli's Big Big Trax label. Aqua-booty! Records was then started and Neal Conway's "Return to Disco EP" and Prince Quick Mix's "NYC Lies in Dust" followed. Currently Greg has been working on new tracks to be released on Aqua-booty! Records in 2008. Visit http://www.vjsinc.com to find all trax for download. With the success of Aqua-booty! in the US, Greg played in various clubs in the UK, Italy and Canada. Ministry of Sound, Back to Basics, Echoes. Prince, Love Nation Tartana were a few of the clubs and parties that got to hear the Aqua-booty sound that originated in the NYC downtown scene.
