Pastor and Wife

Superintendent Johnny Lee Castleberry is the eldest son of the late Superintendent L. C. Castleberry and Mrs. Laura E. Castleberry. He is one of the greatest supporters of his community and of the Churches of God in Christ. He has served in the ministry as pastor for more than thirty years and has experienced the challenges of a small church of approximately forty members to his present assignment of more than three hundred members.

Superintendent Castleberry and the Golden Gate Church are now in the remodeling and reconstruction of a new church edifice at its present location. With God’s help and guidance Phase I will be completed May, 2006

God has blessed Superintendent Castleberry to attain several degrees in theology. He is the founder and organizer of the Annual Gospel Fest held at Six Flags Over Texas in June and in July.

Superintendent Castleberry is married to Mrs. Bobbie Nell Richards-Castleberry. He is the father of two beautiful, saved, adult daughters, Tonya and Jonica and the proud grandfather of three, Aliya Monique, Stephenie Paige and Khalil Lee.

Statement Of Faith We believe the Bible to be the inspired and only infallible written Word of God. We believe that there is One God, eternally existent in three Persons; God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. We believe in the Blessed Hope, which is the rapture of the Church of God, which is in Christ at His return. We believe that the only means of being cleansed from sin, is through repentance, faith in the precious Blood of Jesus Christ and being baptized in water. We believe that regeneration by the Holy Ghost is absolutely essential for personal salvation. We believe that the redemptive work of Christ on the Cross provides healing for the human body in answer to believing in prayer. We believe that the baptism in the Holy Ghost, according to Acts 2:4, is given to believers who asks for it. We believe in the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling, the Christian is enabled to live a Holy and separated life in this present world, Amen
