Mischief & Frankie are a charismatic and stylish DJ duo with a flair for delivering deep and funky, Chicago-style house. At home in Toronto, they are better known as cousins Brian Umali and Franklin Medina. Together they share a common passion for friendships, dancing, DJing and house music.

Franklin (a.k.a. Frankie COLD Medina) began his Djing career in the early 90’s. He would begin journey by spinning at various venues and school events. A combination of Hip Hop and Classic House was his sound. But his DJing career took a turn. After venturing into the salsa dancing scene for 5 years, he was given a House CD to listen to. That CD was Mark Farina's San Francisco Sessions. And this was Franklin's rebirth to house music and eventually his rebirth into the underground house scene as one of Toronto's best house DJs.

Brian, a curious jester, is always on the prowl for anything mischievous. Schooled in Hip Hop and influenced by DJ Premier, he began DJing in 1996 as a turntablist. He would later discover his passion for house music and in early 2004 he entered the Heineken Thirst DJ competition and placed 2nd in Canada.

House music aficionados are taking notice as Mischief & Frankie secure their place in Toronto's underground scene with each solid performance. Playing amongst the leaders in the industry, they are in demand and building their profile. Mischief & Frankie is a name that is growing quickly as they leave a mark on the scene.
