Big Daddy Donald Roberts: I am a retired print plant manager, who has a love of music and radio - in 1967 I went to broadcasting school, and earned my diploma. Then real life kicked in, and I found a job at a printing company, where I stayed for the next 38 years. I have always had some kind of home studio, and it is there where donspodradio was born. Now I can do what I love, and do it for people who also love the music and listen to the program each week.

Al Murphy is also a retiree from the same company - I was in Manufacturing and he in Human Resources! Al resides in Fergus, Ontario, which is a little bit west of Toronto - I on the other hand, live in Coquitlam, British Columbia, a bedroom community of Vancouver.

When I started the donspodradio websites back in February, 2006, Al was the very first visitor - it wasn't long before he had recorded some promos for the station, and as they say, the rest is history.

Now, every week Al drops by on the 20's with RETROSPECTIVE - his look back at issues of interest to him, and I hope, you as well. Every once in a while, Al either co-hosts a program, or takes over entirely - and his love of the music and information of the times shows through!

It takes a bit of engineering to stretch the string tight between the two tin can microphones that link our studios, but it is well worth the effort as I am sure you will agree.
