BEST INTERNATIONAL FEMALE DJ ON THE GRIND...DJ Seiko was born and raised in Fussa City, Tokyo Japan. Fussa City is occupied by a US Military Airforce Base, where a lot of American HipHop cluture is introduced. DJ Seiko started ballet, Jazz, and contemporary dance when she was 4 years old because she loved music & had a natural feeling for music. While performing dances at competitions, she didnt feel that the DJs at the parties were playing very well. Another problem she found with these DJ's was that they couldn't produce the right type of mixed music to satisfy her dance styles during her 5 minute preformances. This led her to the decision that she should try to DJ for herself and not depend on other DJs to play exactly what she wanted. At 17 years old, after a few times on the turntables, she realized that she didn't need to depend on the DJ, she felt the power to organize the club and play the right music that will have any party poppin'. DJ Seiko started to perform regularly as a DJ at the Military base parties. She received outstanding responses from the military parties because it was mostly American people and they were suprised by her skill. In 2005, DJ Seiko moved to Harlem, New York to pursue her interest in playing music. At age 21, she found it hard to make connections in New York as a DJ because she came here by herself and everything seemed different for her. She also didn't know who to trust. She struggled for a while, trying to figure out if it was worth going to New York. So she started modeling to make connections in the music industry to help with her DJ career. Her plan was successful, after she was featured in a modeling magazine, she revealed that she was a DJ and has been receiving a lot of support and request to play at parties.
