I started Dj'ing early in 2005, after catching the Dj'ing bug from my older brothers, Rich and Jamie at various clubs across the Midlands.
I learnt most of my skills in the confides of my bedroom with the funky influences of Dj's such as Erick Morillo and David Guetta.
My first break came in the form of Bar Love in Oxford, bringing a fairly new funky vibe to the Students, with a once a month slot, which proved to be very popular, ending up as a twice monthly party.
The next regular spot was a bit more closer to home at a new venue in Nottingham called Image Bar. I was playing regularly on a Wednesday night, which also proved popular with a lot of the students in Nottingham, and as the weeks progressed, so did the numbers. I was soon to be playing to a packed dance floor on numerous occasions. My style of music was also moving into the more tougher side of Funky House, with influences like Ian Carey and Richard Grey.
The next big gig was Dj'ing with Rich at Derby Uni Grad Ball, which proved a huge success (and the start of the Hyde Brothers). We there played along side big named Dj's like Mylo, Hed Kandi and Scratch perverts to name but a few.
Dj'ing alongside Rich gave us the idea to run a funky house night at The Yard in Swadlincote on a Saturday night, with us both being residents and Dj'ing to a full capacity every week.
During the Summer, I moved down to Shoreditch in London. Within a week of living in London, I quickly realised my style of music was changing into more Electro and underground house.
After a couple of months of handing out promo CDs and getting my name passed about, I was asked to play at a Warehouse party in Shoreditch near Brick Lane. My new style of music proved to be very successful with the Shoreditch Club Kids, and because of this I was asked to play at several more of these parties, and also getting a monthly residency at the well respected Trafik in Shoreditch.
