Hello music lover's!! Allow me to introduce myself..I'm DJ Nena. I arrived to Florida in the year 2000, to prove that a woman can surpass the odds and prevail a success in an industry where the men typically dominate. I will say it was never easy, but thanks to some very special managers, owners, promoters, radio stations, and venues..I was given a chance to shine. You've heard me at Creme Lounge/Score, Hotel Nash, Club 112/Liquid, Habana Club, Club Jade, Skyline Lounge-Sobe, Voodoo Lounge, Venus, The Saint, Purgatory, Jay's Bar, The Colliseum, Club Boom, Club Moscow/Bungalow 9, Martini Cabaret, Elements, Seamonster, New Moon, Club Steel, Club Radius, Karnival-FTL, and many more venues as well as some of the hottest events that take place in South Florida, such as; Miami Gay Pride 2009, Ft. Lauderdale/Wilton Manors Stonewall/Gay Pride 2009, Aqua Girl (2006, 2007, & 2009), special guest appearance on the MUN2 Cable TV show "The Roof", I was also the first female DJ to spin the 2006 International Miami Salsa Congress & Cuban Nostalgia Live, Univision Awards, and the only female Latin DJ to have my own stage at Bank of America's sponsored "Viva Broward" 2004, 2004 Women's National Boxing Championship sponsored by Bonnie Canino, 2005 Olivia Cruise's Annual Comedy Extravaganza in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic...and much more beyond that!! I've got a unique variety of music in my arsenal that my talent allows me to mix up with a creative drive that no one else can touch. I believe in providing a sound that transforms people on the dance floor and allows them to escape to a place where they can truly feel and express their inner core without any inhibitions or barriers. I love mixing Tribal, Afro-Cuban Rhythms, House, Salsa, Merengue, Bachata, and Reggaeton. Let me just say thank goodness for the BEATS without them I would have never survived!! What can I say? Music has been the only thing I know, along with the fact that it's the only thing in my life that loved me back and never once betrayed me.
