Joolz's first gig was at Rubyz club in Bournemouth of the latter part of 2007. By arranging to have friends on djembe drums accompanying her mixing, the club spun to the deep funkified tribal rhythm that became something of her trademark. Joolz also began playing at Bazaar bar, a trendy chill-out space in Bournemouth town centre, and stayed on following a change of ownership as resident DJ of the Friday ‘Get Spinny’ night and ‘Underground Sundayz’.
Other gigs in 2008 included Velcro at 176 Bournemouth; Bourne Free; Bent; Get Twisted at Havannas; Coyote Girls at Ego, London; WezFest in Yeovil where Joolz hooked up with De Hornet, Nature Boy and Russell Ruckman of "God Made Me Funky" and was invited to join the collective. SInce then Joolz played at the New Year party at The Forrest Gate Hotel, North London. The GMMF Boat party "All Hands on Decks" at Poole Quay saw Joolz playing alongside "The Legendary" Paul Trouble Anderson & Londons own "Soul Heaven" resident and producer Sy Sez of the Aphrodisiax.
Joolz was invited to have her own radio show by Martyn the Hat & Gary Ellis on ‘DeepBlue FM,’ and performed a guest mix for Smash Malta Radio, part of Soundz Republik broadcasting to Spain and Malta later in the year.
2009 has seen Joolz play in more new venues with God Made Me Funky in Bournemouth, but increasingly she has been invited further afield. Nights have included The Central, London, alongside Neil Pearce of the Fanatix `& Sy Sez. Lady Duracell, Phil Asher & Shea Soul @ Funky Buddha in BRIGHTON.
In Summer 09 Joolz played with God Made Me Funky at the prestigious Soul Village Weekender in Devon, which included Legends like KARIZMA & DJ SPEN. BRIXHAM DEVON
