DJ FASE BIO
DJ Fase (pronounced Phase or Faze) has been a full-time DJ, Music Producer and Radio host for the past 10 years. In the Toronto club scene, successful, long running weekly and monthly parties have been his trademark. Footwork Tuesdays, Toronto's longest running Hip Hop, Funk, Soul night, which he started in early 2000 and lasted almost 10 years. Do Right Saturday's at Supermarket has been a hip hot spot for over 6 years and his monthly party Edumacation has been packing the Drake Hotel is almost 5 years. Radio has been on Fase's resume since the late 90's, with shows on Chin & Project Bounce, and many guest spot's on CKLN. Currently CIUT 89.5 fm is his 'on air' home and has been for over 10 years as he holds down two weekly time slots "Stolen Moments" on Tuesday afternoon's from 3-5 and "Stylistic Endeavours" Friday evenings from 8-10. As one half of the hip hop duo "Abdominal & DJ Fase", Fase graced the cover of Toronto's NOW magazine as they released there album "Flowtation Device" in 2001. Together Abs & Fase have toured across Canada, Denmark, Sweden and the UK. 'NOW' magazine gave Fase the honour of TORONTO's #1 DJ in the BEST of 2004 issue, which was a nice surprise after being runner-up in both Toronto's EYE and NOW weekly's in 01' & 02'. Fase is also a 7 time nominee of the Canada wide Stylus DJ Awards. Although he has yet to win just being nominated every year since the awards inception in 2006 shows his relevance as a DJ in this country. In early 2010, Fase with like minded musical friends Phat Tony and Scam formed the Production trio 'FAT Thursday'. In October of the same year they released the FAT Thursday Remix Album/Mixtape. The double CD of 25 original Remixes is the promo pre-curser for their debut full length Album due out in early 2011 and will feature a wide range of artists, both Canadian and American. On top of that Fase is working on a solo Album and also nearing completion of his "Worldwide Side Project" Album with Toronto Veteran MC Theology 3 which should also drop sometime this coming year.
