Matt McKillop and Owen Taylor devised DeepCitySoul out of their necessity and love for quality house music. Influenced primarily by MAW, Llorca, Levan, Dennis Ferrer, Kerri Chandler and Blaze, the DeepCitySoul productions deliver a distinctive sound, blending aspects of soul and jazz with exceptional house and funk rhythms, championed by the likes of Tony Humphries, Miguel Migs and Dimitri from Paris among others. A relatively fresh brand in the house music scene, the DeepCitySoul discography already includes releases and remixes on Universe Media, Universe City, Soul Heaven,ToolRoom, Pacha Multimedia, Miss Moneypennys Music, Muzik-K, Further Recordings and Citrus. They are now working under their own DeeCeeEss label (launched 2009), which sees them working with the likes of Pete Tong, Timmy Vegas, Graeme Park, The Fanatix, Stacy Kidd, Angie Brown, Kenny Thomas, Pauline Henry, Sybil, and Shola Ama to name a few.
