Dean Atta is an actor, performance poet and writer. He teaches in schools and youth centres across London and runs regular sessions for the Creative Learning Department at the Lyric theatre in Hammersmith. Dean is also a member of the Black Gay Men’s Advisory Group, volunteer for LGBT youth group Out On Thursday, writes for INQ Magazine, and co-hosts a weekly talk show on Resonance FM called FYI. He has appeared on BBC Radio 4, is published in various magazines and has performed in numerous venues from the Royal Albert Hall to Hackney Empire. Dean has previously worked as an Employment and Training Assistant for Connexions as well as a peer mentor on various council and community projects, and young people and minority groups are at the centre of all his creative work.
