Dj spinning Indie-Electro-Punk- Funk- Disco- Soul-Honky Tonk-Rock and Roll....... making it all make sense. Born To a Country Music Playing father, younger brother to a hard rock loving teenage delinquent, and raised in The Punk and New Wave movements of Los Angeles, Dj Casper grew up with first hand experience and a love of many musical genre’s. At an early age he became a musician, playing guitar and singing in garage and punk rock bands. As a founding member of La’s own Pleasure Seekers and Bass player to eclectic cult artist Coyote Shivers, Casper developed into what one La times Article referred to as “ La’s next big star”. Playing hot spots like, The Opium Den, The Dragonfly, Goldfinger’s, Coney Island High, CBGB’s, the House of Blues and Cherry in both New York and La, he polished both his knowledge of music, and the art of the nightclub. In 1998, after several years in the Los Angeles Underground scene, befriended and influenced by such Dj legends as Big Daddy Carlos (Velvet Margarita), Moonshine (moonshine records) and Joseph brooks (Club Make Up and Cherry), Dj Casper became a resident Dj of Johnny Depp’s notorious Viper Room on the Sunset Strip. His tenure there has included Dj performances with The Pussycat Dolls, Maroon 5, Rolan Bolan, Queens Of The Stone Age, Billy Idol, Joan Jett, Elvis Costello, and even American Idol winners. Casper has spun his unique blend of cross genre mixes for Gordon Ramsay at The London Hotel, The Sundance Film festival, The Style Lounge for the Oscars, The Golden Globes and The Mtv awards. Working regularly in Los Angeles, at The Viper Room,On The Rox, Dragonfly, Holly’s, The Burgundy Room and The Newly Opened Kung Pao Kitty, as well as guest performances in New York, Australia, and The South by Southwest music festival in Ausitn Texas, Dj Casper can be seen several nights a week, spinning Indie-Electro-punk-soul-disco-rock for the hip and beautiful.
