EDD DEE PEE [EPS1] was born in Detroit Michigan. He grew up near Motown before moving to Southern California. He has studied music since he was six years old. As a young child he had a desire to play the saxophone. even though his instrument was too heavy for him to hold up and play without sitting it on the case. His parents relocated to California .
LA was a huge influence to him as a young teen. EDD DEE PEE lived in Inglewood and South Central, and would carry his tenor sax a couple of miles to school . At the time his goal was to become first chair, and finish junior high and join the Inglewood High marching band. But as a eighth grader, he move with his family to Northern California. Continuing with his musical studies at Middle School, he was lucky enough to play for President Reagan, Queen Elizabeth, and Mayor Diane Feinstein.
