With over 10 years of mixing and radio experience, Avery Usita had an intrest for music and dance since the age of twelve. When Avery Usita was fourteen he focused on breakdancing and mixing music. He would frequently listen to mix-show dj's and record their mixes. Avery Usita then traded in his comic book collection to buy a gemini mixer where he practiced mixing between two tape decks and trying to learn the fundamentals of mixing. Though breakdancing was one of Avery's hobbies. However, it was the music and rocking crowds that Avery Usita had a passion for. Moving to Washington state where Avery met his close friend (DJ Estylz aka Eric Malco), DJ Estylz would let Avery borrow his turntables before he got his. Avery Usita would bang out his music all day in his room until his parents would tell him to turn it down. Fine-tuning his own style and mixing craft Avery Usita wanted to mix on the radio. In 2004, Victor Meneguax and Marcus D of KBKS Kiss 106.1 gave Avery Usita the opportunity of becoming one of Seattle's Club Kiss mix-show dj's. Avery Usita shortly then moved on to serve and fight for his country, but the passion of music and mixing still burned inside him. Avery Usita still continued to mix and rock crowds wherever he got stationed. Avery Usita currently now is the radio imaging director / mix-show dj for KRYC Rhythm 105.9 in Marysville, California. To one of my biggest critiques who keeps me on my toes and shares the love and passion of mixing music. Thank you Crystal.
