Singer, songwriter and saxophonist with a soulful, smooth jazzy style. I like to think I have my own unique sound, what artist doesn't! Truthfully, I do have a tough time categorizing my music with others. Yes, I am elements of not only vocalists such as Teena Marie, Lisa Stansfield, Taylor Dayne... but then there's my saxophones! And I play my tenor sax and alto sax in different ways, too. It's quite a mix. There are times when I think "yeah, my alto riff there is sorta David Sanborn or Candy Dulfer, Maceo Parker-like!" or my tenor reminds me of "Jr. Walker meets Gato Barbieri meets Stan Getz..."
My influences and passions for music are broad, can you hear my heavy Isley Brothers affinity? Check out "I Wanna Funk It Up" and you might hear Zapp and Roger meets the Isleys. I can't play the guitar like Ernie, but I can drop a lick or two on my horns. Take a musical ride with me, be sure to have some wine, someone to snuggle and a nice fire to chill by.
