2 Kool was born and raised in New Orleans La. and became interested in music at a young age. My father (Papa Smurf) Started in Radio Believe it or not he has been in the business for over 30 Years! He started on FM 98's sister station AM 940 playing Gospel on Sunday mornings with the Zion Harmonizers. His Favorite Moment in Radio The 27 years that he spent on "Mellow Moods". Now he work with KMEZ 106.7 Fm in New Orleans Citadel. I even worked with Clear Channel radio when I would be on summer vacation during my High school years that gave me an insight in the radio world. I would listen to the new music that would come in to the program director Steven Ross and he would asked me my opinion on the new music so sometimes I just listened to music all-day to help him with his play list I would tell him what songs I like and most of the times he would play them besides I'm just a young kid on a summer job at the radio station having fun listening to music. Me and my little brother even performed as a special guest in WYLD FM 98 talent shows. I even have a throwback picture of me and my brother and Run DMC at the WYLD family day in the park and Jam Master jay was there to. I had a lot of pictures with other stars but my mom only took two photo albums before hurricane Katrina hit and she found the pictures of me and my brother with Run DMC. My mom lost everything in the storm just as well as the rest of my Raw War Family we are all Katrina survivors. The reason I chose this business is because I was raised in it 2 Kool is now a artist, songwriter, producer, and mix engineer and have started his first Record Label Raw War Entertainment with the legendary Mike Dogg One Of New Orleans greatest producers of all times .
