MY BIOGRAPHY AS A DJ:
Ok, Here it goes! I started collecting cd's from the sixties and the seventies at the age of 16. I started with things like Pink Floyd, Zappa, Captain Beefheart and so on and I realised by the age of 20 that I had too many cd's. So I had to do something with them. So I became DJ. The name Yellow Galactic Sun was born. This is my maya calendar which I got at the Boom festival in Portugal in 2002. A friend of mine, named Jimmy Hendrix, thaught me all the things I needed to know to become a dj. I organised with Jimmy my 21st anniversary party called Freakers Ball. We played Flower Power (sixties and seventies). I still play Sixties and Seventies under the name Yellow Galactic Sun. I even played on a Woodstock revival in Germany thanks to the same friend, Jimmy Hendrix, also known as Mr. Kite (flower power), Jimbo (goa), Kaleido (chill-out) He was playing there most of the time. But then something happened with me later that year. I became more and more interested in the more chilly things from the great era of the hippies and the freaks. I was also widely familiar with the Goa scene. There I picked up some nice chill out vibes from yet the same friend (DJ Kaleido) who plays at the Wonderland every year. I became fond of his music and then in 2005 I was asked to play flower power on a Back To Basics Party. I turned out to be playing there almost all night and I played lots of chill too. I even got some great comments on my chill-out set. Since then I'm buying lots of Chill Out from all times and try to play more at parties. Of course I don't always have time to play because of my studies (social work) but ask me and I will try to play... I hope you enjoy my music!
