WORDSMITH can claim many areas around the globe as his home. The son of a former Full Colonel in the Army, he has resided in over 10 different states in the US and even lived in Germany twice throughout his childhood. His Nu Revolution Camp follows the same suit with numerous members residing in Maryland, New York, Sweden, Poland, Canada, Vegas, Texas, & Pennsylvania. LET THE REVOLUTION BEGIN!!!

2008 Looks to be a great year for Wordsmith as he kicked it off with a HipHopdx.com sponsored Mixtape called, “The Revolution Begins with a Takeover,” Vol. 1. The mixtape featured his Nu Revolution Camp, Busta Rhymes, Q-Tip, & Rob G. to name a few and It received great reviews from reputable magazines & Websites like HipHop Weekly, Mixtapekings.com, and Rapmullet.com. This is not new to Word as his first mixtape "Statements & Stipulations" garnered him a notable selection on MTV's Mixtape Mondays in 2005.

In the beginning of March, Word will release Vol. 2 of the Mixtape in preparation for his collaborative album with the legendary Chubb Rock called "Bridging the Gap." A Mid-Year Review Mixtape featuring Word's top Audio Section tracks on the internet and Vol. 3 of "The Revolution Begins with a Takeover" will follow the collab album to set up the release of Wordsmith's debut solo album "Vintage Material."

Moreover, Wordsmith is a workaholic as he has sponsership deals with Vintage Clothing Limited and Kinggolf.net. He currently handles all the Hip-Hop Intros, commerical sweeps, & theme songs for 103.9/0C 104's daily Programming. His radio work extends to #4 ranking on the Rap Network National College Top 30 Charts with his single "Ode to tha Pioneers." He is in constant rotation on Comcast Music Choice, 76.1 FM (Japan) and numerous other radio outlets across the world. Wordsmith's work has not gone unnoticed as he has appeared in well over 20 publications like The Baltimore City Paper, The Atlantic City Press, HipHop Weekly, Noyse Magazine to name a few.

Though, Wordsmith is a versatile MC, he is also a theater trained actor graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Theater Arts from Salisbury University in Salisbury, Maryland. Performing in plays like “All my Sons” and the Musical “1776,” Word was able to translate his acting skills to his music and live shows. He refers to his stage shows as “Hip-Hop Plays” because of the scenery changes, props, and stunning movements that bring his songs to Life on stage. This has aforted him the opportunity to perform at famous venues like Baltimore's "Sonar," New York's "SoB's," Houston's "Toc Bar," California's "Temple Bar" and the UK's "Cheltenham Town Hall."

With constant progress being made, the final piece to the puzzle was surrounding himself with a devoted team. Since 2005, Wordsmith has been building a nice circle of musicians, producers, Graphic Designers, and Web Techs to support his theory of presenting himself as a signed MC, while he is unsigned. He calls this group of partners the Nu Revolution Camp and they are a diverse group to say the least. Word’s production company consists of Producers Professa, from Kansas, All Biz, from New York, Strada from Canada, Street Level, from Sweden, and Capish, from Poland. Strada and Capish double as engineers as well. DJ Andrew serves as a part time Graphic designer and a full time Web technician. D-Dub serves as the camp’s voice specialist as he can imitate numerous celebrity voices. Finally, the camp has 2 top notch MC’s to stand next to Wordsmith. They go by the names Kontact & Black Knight. As an affiliate, Wordsmith signed with a new clothing company called “Vintage Clothing Limited (vintagelimited.com) to provide him with outstanding urban wear for his shows. Word also recently signed a 2 year deal with Joint One Radio in Japan and RVUP in the UK. Preparation like this makes Word look like a signed artist, but he is more focused on putting out quality music that can stand next to the top selling artists in the game right now; let’s go to the next level!!!
