Internet Radio Free Kansas was the first to stream prog rock webcasts starting on July 4, 1998. Back then I streamed in Real Media 1.0 before there was any mp3 or aac audio codec technology. In the "old days" it was a webcast. Now it's a podcast. Nice to see we were ahead of the time:)
Our focus is on the rare prog rock and 70's Krautrock groups that never saw the light of day on the FM radio. If you visit this webpage each week you can hear a new podcast of around five groups that I think you'll enjoy.
I was fortunate to be a FM radio DJ from 1973 to 1981 during the 70's prog rock invasion. Was in Radio/TV school with John Mellencamp, the musician. Rockin' the galaxy it's RFK Worldwide Rock.
