What started out as a fun hobby, turned into much more. In the late 70's (1977 to be exact) I started partying at nightclubs with my older sister, and was blown away by the sound systems and the DJ's that were burning the tables up. In 1981 two dear friends of mine (Andre Hatchett and the creator of "House Music" Frankie Knuckles) taught and demonstrated to me how to spin records as a DJ. Though I could never mix in the fashion and style they mix records, without their teachings and my observation of their talent, I would never have found that my recording skills are the window to my soul and 6th element of my being. Through this art form, I also enhanced my talent of playing the Cello and Bass Fiddle through HS, of which garnered me a prestigious award; Who's Who in Music in America along with a scholarship to Julliard, Vassar and Virginia State University, which is where I eventually attended. I had a very successful career in the Music Industry as a Record Promotions Manager for 12 yrs, then transitioned into the Computer Science industry (which ironically was my undergrad minor) for the last 37 yrs. In my spare time, I record my mix shows which are made up of memories, thoughts and visions. These mix sessions contain a wide variety of music genres; R&B, 70's disco, Rock, Alternative Rock, Classic Rock, Jazz, Brazilian Jazz and Classical. It all depends on what theme is running through my head that particular day. Knowing this, at the urging of friends that have known me for over 30 years, I have decided to share the output of my hobby. I hope you enjoy it.
